Chidimma Ozor Commer, PhD, LMSW

Founder & Executive Director

Dr Chidimma Ozor Commer is a licensed clinical social worker, clinical psychotherapist, researcher, and educator with a lifelong commitment to holistic wellness, mental health, and healing justice. Her work sits at the intersection of clinical care, education, and structural change — and is deeply informed by her experiences in primary care settings serving immigrant populations in Las Vegas, including undocumented individuals and families navigating compounding barriers to wellness.

A proud daughter of Nigerian immigrants who became naturalized US citizens, Dr Ozor Commer founded Ozota Legacy Project to honor both the sacrifices and the dreams of communities too often excluded from equitable care. The grief of losing her father became a catalyst — transforming pain into purpose — and fueling her desire to come alongside immigrants, children of immigrants, and historically marginalized people in their journeys toward healing, education, and self-determined wellbeing.

With a doctoral background in Global Inclusion and Social Development and a clinical practice rooted in cultural humility, Dr Ozor Commer believes that mental health, wellness, and education are not luxuries — they are necessities. Through Ozota Legacy Project, she aims to build accessible pathways to wholeness and reimagine systems of care through a lens of dignity, love, and collective liberation.
